food!

Along with cookies, brownies are a big weakness for me. Unfortunately due to health issues, I'm really not allowed to eat them. Today I broke down and couldn't resist. My sister made a batch of these and they disappeared within 24 hours, but somehow, someone left a tiny little piece left. How could I resist?! The poor brownie was just sitting there...I'm almost positive it was calling my name.

While we're on the topic of food, I thought I'd share some other random food photos I've taken in the past few months.

(for the health-freaks out there like myself...)

Anyone hungry yet?!

Philadelphia

Philadelphia was amazing. There are a lot of newer buildings mixed with all the old, historic sites...and it's simply awesome. Most of the townhouses date back to the Revolutionary War and I think that's pretty cool. There's really no way to describe it. I was there for a cross-country conference, so our time was mostly dominated by seminars on Saturday. However, we arrived to Philly around dinner time on Friday, so we took the opportunity to see some popular attractions (National Treasure anyone?!) The following pictures are from Independence Hall, various parts of the city and the Art Museum. The conference I attended was on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania and it's beautiful - most of the buildings have been there since the mid 18th century. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to really take pictures, but the architecture was stunning. I guess I'll just have to plan another trip ;)

i'm smitten. philadelphia was more than I ever imagined :)

"Softly the evening came. The sun from the western horizon like a magician extended his golden want o'er the landscape; Trinkling vapors arose; and sky and water and forest seemed all on fire at the touch, and melted and mingled together." -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Samantha M.

Surprisingly, I haven't been too behind when it comes to blogging. However, this is one session that I just never got the chance to share. Meet Samantha, a college friend of mine who also runs with me. Earlier this fall, we went to a nearby park in between classes and I snapped some photos of her. She's so beautiful!

It's 2010!

Happy New Year! As I mentioned in my last post, I'm getting ready to start pursuing a more formal photography business. I'm so excited! My mom has been so wonderful with the marketing aspect; she's always full of good ideas. She's also been helping me establish rates and my Dad (a financial planner) is helping me take care of the more business aspect (taxes, budgeting, invoicing, etc). My parents are awesome! I can't wait to share more sooooon :)
