It's actually Office circa 1985 and it's a piece of J-U-N-K! My daughter has the nice stuff, I get all the hand-me-downs. I'm still weraring the size 6 shoes she wore in sixth grade.
So when are you going to buy a new Mac so I can have your old one, Kristin?
She wasn't even born in 1985... obviously not a hand-me-down! You should get a sagernotebook if you want a laptop... or desktop, you could get a Daniel's custom built. lol
Daniel, Kristin's presence in my life transcends time and space.
If you've got a "custom built" on the cheap, let me know. Believe it or not I actually sold PC's in 1985. That's when "portables" were called Compaq's. But I got a huge commission on each one of those things so I wasn't complaining.
Computers are getting pretty cheap these days... and I actually haven't checked recently if building one is cheaper or more expensive. I know that a few years ago when I built mine, I spent about $1,600, and dell would have charged over $3,000 for a similar computer. I guess it just depends on what you want. I tend to go high-end on the parts because I want them to last more than the usual 3 years... but theres a good argument for going with the $500 PC that you can replace twice for the same amount as a high-end PC. If you shoot me an email (danielrosborne@gmail.com) with some info as far as what you would be looking for (even if you picked a dell that has what you want)... then I could compare parts and pricing.
Blackmail? So what do you want now??
ReplyDeleteMom
P.S. I love you too.
Looks like Office '07. :D
ReplyDeleteYes, she has a Dell!
ReplyDeleteNo comment about the Dell part... just happy to see her using a quality piece of software. :P
ReplyDeleteI'll have you know that I even use Office on my MAC. So there...

ReplyDeleteLooks like an ancient Dell Latitude or something.
ReplyDeleteSager's are nice.
Custom building is sweet... can't wait to do it.
Blackmail: where is it?
