Katie & Drake {couples}

I have this awesome friend named Katie. Growing up, we lived a block away from each other, had mutual friends but never really were playmates. Fast forward a few years, we meet and the rest is history. You can imagine my happiness when I found out this past February that she had met an awesome guy and was dating; I love it when my friends find that special someone! I was in Bosnia when Drake first visited Michigan (they have a long-distance relationship) so I didn't have a chance to meet him. But he came back a few weeks ago and I was able to snap these shots! He asked Katie's dad for permission to marry her (isn't that THE sweetest?!) and I have a hunch that an engagement is around the corner ;) I'm so excited to see where life takes these two awesome people!

Adora, 2010 seniors

I love it when I keep in touch with high schoolers. Maybe it makes me feel young again. Hah. Years back, I participated in youth orchestra where I met Adora. Even though I have been graduated for several years now, we have still stayed in contact. Awesome. She received a full ride to college and will be studying broadcast journalism. Watch out people - she's gonna rock in the media! Adora also plays trumpet and can draw cartoons like its nobody's business. She even drew a cartoon of me taking pictures. How cool is that?! I just love this girl!

Surprisingly, I haven't been too behind when it comes to blogging. However, this is one session that I just never got the chance to share. Meet Samantha, a college friend of mine who also runs with me. Earlier this fall, we went to a nearby park in between classes and I snapped some photos of her. She's so beautiful!

When I was 11, my family took a roadtrip to Texas and it was torture. We drove through Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Oklahoma and after arriving in Texas, my brothers and I decided that Oklahoma the worst of them all. We were convinced that Oklahoma had nothing but hick towns filled with redneck farmers who drove John Deere tractors, corralling their cows. Little did I know that at the time, I was passing through the state in which one of my best friends resided in and that I would actually make another trip to that "dreadful state". Well, after a weekend of planning and adjusting schedules, my friend Katie is finally making a trip up here. To see me. For a week. Why anyone would actually want to come see a crazy person like myself is beyond me...but she is. I can't wait. I can already see a few late nights and Starbucks trips on the horizon ;)
